Getting to Cambridge

General: Cambridge parking information

Parking around Cantabs: At the weekends, there is unrestricted free parking on many streets a few minutes walk from the Cantabs Boathouse, including Church Street, St Andrew's Road and Logan's Way, but there is no parking, but the Housing Estate through which the boathouse is accessed is for resident's only, with the exception of one space which we can use for a driver with mobility issues.

Cambridge is generally well-served with taxis, with fairly short wait times. Firms include:

  • Veezu (previously Panther Taxis) 01223 715715
  • Cambridge City Taxis 01223 832832 - online/telephone quotes and booking
  • CamCab 01223 704704 website/telephone booking
  • Breeze Taxis 01223 901209 - various booking methods including phone, website, email, WhatsApp
  • Uber cars - registration required

Information about bus services including Park and Ride and the Guided Busway is available via the Cambridgeshire County Council website

Staying in Cambridge

As the dinner is taking place outside of university term time it is possible to stay in accommodation provided by the university via University Rooms. Unfortunately, the dinner venue, King's College, does not offer rooms, but plenty of nearby colleges do.

For those looking for a more traditional hotel experience, we can reccommend Visit Cambridge, alongside the usual booking sites, such as:
